Netflix access using Linux

Does Spark prevent clients using Netflix under Linux? If so is there a work-around? Thanks for any info. Rod

It's not Spark preventing you access to Netflix, it's Netflix. But a quick search seems to find that Netflix works with Ubuntu and Chrome (I assume you are using Firefox). Say NO to DRM. Cheers, William.

It is for an older member who I have set up to use Linux Mint when he couldn't upgrade to Windows 7. He signed up for Netflix but got a message saying it he couldn't use it under Linux. I haven't been to see him yet. Rod On 10 March 2017 at 23:54, William Mckee <will(a)artcontrol.me> wrote:

I see various messages about using Netflix and other streaming services on Linux but many also reporting frustrations, not just with Neflix but with TVNZOndemand and TV3. I don't know which problems and solutions are just in NZ. I have seen various solutions, the most common as William saysbeing to use Chrome. Others to use WINE, or playonlinux My favourite (if it works) is by *mzsade <https://forums.linuxmint.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=26997&sid=b4d4f8a7d1691def198550c22e7a1204>* » Sun Dec 25, 2016 12:46 am On Debian Sid i run Isadora (Linux Mint 9) on VirtualBox. I can not only watch any video stream that's available but can also save it from where it loads in /tmp folder. Incidentally, it seems to have taken care of the total freeze issue when streaming videos on Debian, doesn't heat up the CPU and uses less resources. Yep, I use Netflix here. Running Chrome on LMDE2. IIRC, it was slightly picky about the browser... I don't think it worked under Firefox. E -- Securely sent with Tutanota. It's good, you should try it: https://tutanota.com 12. Mar 2017 11:13 by rod.aldridge1(a)gmail.com:
