The output from:
ls -la /dev/dvd is:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 2006-08-07 06:28 /dev/dvd -> hdc
The output from:
dmesg | grep -i dvd is:
[17179574.336000] hdc: MATSHITAUJ-840D, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM
drive
[17179574.336000] hdc: ATAPI 24X DVD-ROM DVD-R CD-R/RW
drive, 2048kb Cache, UDMA(33)
So is my machine "looking" in the wrong place or does -> hdc
include drive hda??
