mythtv installation day?

I am trying to install mythtv on my ubuntu box, but without success, so I need help! I propose a mythtv installation day/evening, but will require some experts to come and help us novels. Are there any locals willing to help and advise? Depending on numbers interested I can host this event at my place, plenty of tables, power points, bbq etc I am thinking of the weekend of the 8th/9th October as that is only a couple of days before my jetstream quota renews itself, so we can blitz the connection and only suffer dial up speeds briefly. Any goers? Cheers Justin Hyde

I presume you have looked at http://wlug.org.nz/MythTv ?

MythTV is really simple to install on Ubuntu. I am quite happy to help by email and I don't even need sustenance. If you can dedicate enough interested people to a WLUG meeting, perhaps the new committee should organise one of these. Feedback we have received is split between people who want no hands-on meetings and people who want a whole heap more. Justin Along those lines, have you ever tried Knoppmyth? It's goal in life is "KnoppMyth is my attempt at making the Linux and MythTV installation as trivial as possible. " http://www.mysettopbox.tv/knoppmyth.html Have a peak. Dave Waddling On September 12, 2005 07:14 pm, Justin Hyde wrote:
