I have tried to install it via Synaptic. This downloads the vmware-player-modules file, but it doesn't create the program.

If you are on Ubuntu Dapper, you can use "sudo apt-get install vmware-player".

I'm on Kubuntu Dapper. Repositories can't find it. Josh
