My home machine has the mbr being over written problem, apparently changing the grub version fixes this (fresh install uses grub2 rather than 'grub' which works fine?), however I dont boot windows so I have never actually implemented that to test it.

As far as I can tell, Maverick seems to work just fine. However, I haven't installed it yet. Has anyone here got a dual-boot system with Windows 7? I've read about this bug where grub2's bootloader is overwritten after running Windows, and I don't know if it applies to this distribution as well -- I'm rather wary of upgrading (a clean install in this case, as I'm skipping Lucid) as a result.
