OT IRC channel formed

Hi, Just thought I would mention that a handfull of linux users have started an IRC chat room for NZ linux users. It is called #nzlinux and it is on the freenode network. Many will be aware of such a channel by the same name on the undernet network. Well the new freenode room is a channel formed and being run by a different group of enthusiasts. We are trying to create a friendly environment where new and seasoned NZ linux users can swap ideas on linux, or have a chat on anything in general, and hopefully have fun at the same time. cheers, Nick Elder <NickelZ> ref: http://www.freenode.org/irc_servers.shtml

We already have a well established channel on undernet called #wlug. It's got knowledgable people in it nearly 24/7 (although around 4am it does get a bit quiet). The channel also attracts a large number of people from places outside the Waikato region who come for the discussions. This isn't to say that people couldn't be on both, but as many people on the channel have trouble figuring out how to have a client on two channels at once, I think you'll be hard pressed to get them on two networks :) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Only when you are sure they have you, can you stop being paranoid iD8DBQE+8EmacAgRpy8z8UQRAmhUAJ9YvbzdmzmUriQaet91esOZ1aZ9PQCglkUc d30dAQ51zFyr5JgHMIhNj7c= =cH/X -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
