Rene I've compared the WLUG Charter as registered with the Registrar of Incorporated Societies and the Charter as published on our website. There are a few significant differences. Changes to the Charter are supposed to be registered with the Reg of Inc Socs within a limited time after being passed. I suggest that at the 25th March meeting the Charter, altered with whatever the two changes become, be approved as an entire set of rules by the meeting, and I register the whole rules in replacement for the present registered set. There doesn't seem to be a particular period of notice of proposed changes to be given to members. The quorum for a Special General Meeting is the lesser of 50% of the members or 15 people, so we do need to have a membership list established as best we can, before the meeting. A draft of the revised charter will be tabled, this will reduce the quorum to the smaller of 5 members or 50% of the general membership, and reduce the size of the committee to 4.
