In the absence of a server: There will be a WLUG meeting tomorrow (Monday 24 Jan, 2005), at 7:30pm in LitB, at the University of Waikato. Park at Gate 1 and walk up past the satellite dishes. The topic is "Open Source Music Notation applications". John McPherson will give a presentation about Linux/OpenSource applications for music performers and composers. This will probably cover "mature" applications for things like sequencing, composition, and notation programs, as well as other things that are more "research-y" and not in widespread use, such as page-turning for performers, and optical music recognition.

Hello, I'm back from an extended leave. So get ready to behold a more 'active' list ;-)
Sorry for the abrupt departure. We lost 3 members from the immediate family in 9 months. So if you haven't phoned them recently ...
Q. May I bring my subs to tonight's meeting? Happy new year. Sid Swami (jnr).
