The Waikato branch of the New Zealand Computer society have asked me to extend an invitation to WLUG members to attend a dinner and seminar on 30 June 2005, from 6pm to 10pm. The meeting is being held at the Okoroire Hotel (near Tirau), and consists of a gourmet three course dinner ($35.00 per head), and two speakers commencing at approximately 7:30pm. The speakers are Dave Nichols, a lecturer from the University of Waikato, speaking on "Usability and Open Source Software", and Graham Lauder, marketing contact for OpenOffice.org in New Zealand, speaking on "Disrupting the Market Leader".
