Re: [wlug] Anyone got blown AM2 motherboards going spare?

I have a "AN50R" board 750 socket cpu with heat sink and a TWO screw plastic clamp if you are able to modify you are welcome to it. ----- Original Message Follows -----
My CPU heatsink clamp (the shield on the motherboard) has snapped. I'm looking for a blown motherboard that I can remove the heatsink clamp from to replace it.
I need the style that is held down by 4 screws through the board into a rectangular shield on the underside of the board.
Can anyone help?

Thanks. I don't know if they are modifiable easily but I can definitely have a look! Apparently - as far as I have been advised - they aren't available as a spare part and can only really be harvested off dead mobos; which as most people would just throw away a dead mobo makes them a little hard to come by. That said, I don't know how often they fail so it may be moot :) J -- James Pluck A Cruce Salus Ted Turner - "Sports is like a war without the killing." - http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/t/ted_turner.html
