OK. Maybe it's time to try an alternative approach! Support for these cards will be in Linux 2.6.17 in a much better format. Until now wireless in Linux has been a real mess. There seems to be an effort to really tidy it up now though.
What you can do is download the latest test version from http://kernel.org. It will be 2.6.17-rcx-gity where x and y are some number

I suspect if you get Dapper Drake, it will all 'just work', including WPA. A beta is out in a couple of days. Craig
