SFD poster: need a photo gallery from a member URGENTLY
Hi all, We have the makings (I hope) of some great publicity for SFD. The banner I'm working on will hopefully be ready to print tomorrow, which you might guess is well past the original deadlines (and getting woefully close to the day itself). I've had some excellent stuff come in, but far far too late for our original plan of printing last Friday. I'd like to finish tonight, and there's one last thing I need: an online photo gallery that I can take a shot of. I don't need a screenshot, just a URL, of a gallery that you've created and own the rights to and are happy to have an image of the thumbnails of it released under creative commons with non-attrib. (the thumbnails, not the images themselves.) Something like: Something like http://softwarefreedomday.org/gallery/2007/newzealand/hamilton would be brilliant, only I've already used those images elsewhere. Can anyone help? I go have gallery2 running, but I have very little content in it, and stuff that I would rather not use as publicity material. Bryce, if you like, I can create a login and an album for you were you could upload stuff and screen shot that. In fact why don't you upload all the screenshots. Bryce, you have permission to use a bunch of my photos and dump them into Linz's gallery. Or if I can find a better template for llgal, I could just regenerate my gallery to look like whatever you want. Duh, I should have thought of that earlier. Too many late nights. :( Change the URL to http://gallery.example.org/ or something though.. I'd be kinda embarrassed to have my url up there, even moreso to have it go all around the world.

well, I've registered, attempted to log in, been told "Your login information is incorrect. Please try again", and so far not gotten mail from the recovery tool... guessing that it needs to send confirmation mail for the registration process but isn't routing outbound SMTP? was hoping to see if it's possible to create a new folder and place thumbnails from Michael's http://picasaweb.google.com/mikencolleen/GlenbrookVintageRailwaySteamFestiva... in it -- that way we've got superb content and an example of Gallery in action (and no Picasa branding, which means no worries about, well, using their branding!). is someone with access to either Lindsay's or their own Gallery server able to get that done please?
