Google is withdrawing access to certain of its service APIs that were formerly available to open-source Chromium builds, reserving them for its own proprietary Chrome product. In response, the maintainer for Fedora’s Chromium package says he is no longer sure of the value of Chromium, and is recommending users switch to Firefox instead.
