NextGen: A Feature-Length Movie Done In Blender

Some info here <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TdmIpCAiKQ> about NextGen, an animated movie created by Canadian company Tangent Animation, and done almost entirely using the open-source Blender CG software. They recently sold the distribution rights for the rest of the world (outside China) to Netflix for USD30 million. There’s mention of some additional components (“Cryptomatte” and “Embree”) which are not (yet) part of the official Blender source code; I gather the plan is to merge them in at some point. The video description includes some useful links, including this one <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqSEtTF8hPE> from the 2016 Blender conference, where the Tangent founders discuss why they moved away from Maya and decided to invest in Blender.
