Hi folks. In our discussion on patents last night, I was trying to think of the name of this consortium that had acquired the patents from Nortel when it went bust. I was pretty sure it was called “Rockstar”, and I was right: <https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20131101/15353825101/patent-troll-shell-company-owned-microsoft-apple-launches-massive-patent-attack-android.shtml>. The outfit is/was owned by Microsoft and Apple, and one of the first things it did was to sue Google and a bunch of major makers of Android devices.
