virtual meeting on Monday

Hi everyone Sorry, it's a bit late notice, but this week has been a hit hectic... And, yes, we have a meeting on Monday: Continuing with last month's Linux distribution showdown, we are having a look at these: - Tom Butz will show off GhostBSD, a BSD with a graphical user interface - Peter Reutemann will give his account on converting his laptop to Arch (through EndeavourOS) Details: https://www.meetup.com/WaikatoLinuxUsersGroup/events/266792013/ Cheers, Peter -- Peter Reutemann Dept. of Computer Science University of Waikato, NZ +64 (7) 858-5174 http://www.cms.waikato.ac.nz/~fracpete/ http://www.data-mining.co.nz/

I have a clash of virtual meetings, so won't be able to join unless my other meeting finishes early. All the best for your meeting. I will be interested in how Peter is getting on with EndeavourOS. Have you moved on to Arch itself? Rod On Sat, 20 Jun 2020 at 13:29, Peter Reutemann <fracpete(a)waikato.ac.nz> wrote:

As far as I can tell (Angus, please correct me), EndeavourOS is basically Arch. Just packaged up to make it easy to install, with different desktop flavors to choose from. So, in a sense, I'm using Arch. I've also added my presentation slides on the "last" utility that extracts data from the /var/log/wtmp and btmp files. I've also included my python program that summarizes the data. See: https://github.com/WLUG/meetings/tree/master/2020/2020-06-22 cheers, Ian.
