I've installed MythTV (0.18.1-5) under Ubuntu 5.10. Under the Video Source setup option in mythtv-set, the XMLTV listings grabber has no option for New Zealand. There doesn't seem to be any way of changing what's in the list, other than recompiling from source. Is there any way of configuring MythTV without using the gui or other option for specifying where to get the NZ TV listings? I don't seem to be able to procede without it. Regards, Jon

Pick the Australian one and either (1) ignore that it doesn't get anything, and use "mythfilldatabase --file" with a .xml file you acquired with wget, or (2) symlink to a tv_grab_nz which does the same thing. (The latter seems to be preferred by http://zaf.geek.nz/projects/mythtv/mythtv-howto-step-3.php). You then download an xml file with the listings, find out the xmltv names for all the channels, and set your channels in mythtv-setup so that they have the same name, and pick up the same usage. http://hairy.geek.nz/epg/ is the current best source for NZ listings. Don't forget: http://wlug.org.nz/MythTv http://wlug.org.nz/MythTvNotes It would be great to see this updated with anything you learn as I wouldn't mind playing with it myself one day... Ian -- Ian McDonald http://wand.net.nz/~iam4 WAND Network Research Group University of Waikato New Zealand
