Can anyone (or two or three) help to welcome people as they come in, get those interested to fill in a form to be in the draw for the USB sticks, answer queries, etc. Three people would be good at 10am to start, fewer needed later. Rod

SFD - Please help welcome incoming public
The title should have read "SFD - OMFG HELP!!!!!1!!!" ;-) I don't actually know who from WLUG is turning up but we have a fantastic venue and we've done a fair amount of promotion so hopefully we'll have a good turnout from the public. I'd like as many WLUG members as possible. Bring your computer so you can demo whatever free software you like the best, you can park right next to the building (they promised they won't tow or wheelclamp us, despite all the signs) and I've arranged extra tables which I'll be picking up real late tonight. Or throw a slideshow or movie clip on a USB stick if you'd like to do a mini-talk, we'll have computers set up for this too. We'll open at 9am. We only have ten t-shirts so if you want one turn up early. Free coffee and free wireless all day, and Sue has offered to make a nice healthy lunch of volunteers similar to what we did last year. We might also get some pizzas at the end after everything's packed away (John loves spending WLUG's money..). John and myself will be there fairly late tonight setting things up, drop in if you feel like giving us a hand. Also a brief reminder; SFD is about celebrating Free software (on any platform) not an opportunity to attack or deride proprietary software or vendors. Keep it fun and positive. Hopefully it'll be an awesome event.
