Saturday workshop / Lucid Release Party TOMORROW!

I don't know what's happened to the Wlug Reminder Bot, but it doesn't seem to have picked up tomorrow's meeting. I've bought some party food already and just downloading the ISO's now. Saturday May 1st, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm SaturdayWorkshop at Te Whanau Pūtahi, the community church at the end of Oxford Street. We'll have the usual tables, power, various ISO's, Internet, coffee and light lunch, etc. Also since this will be shortly after the release of Lucid Lynx, we'll have a bit of party food and make this a Lucid Lynx Release Party.

I'm sure Bruce or someone is downloading some iso's, and I was going to bring the 64bit alternate disk I have tomorrow, but then I realized that is the RC installer I downloaded last week and probably better to go ahead and get the official release. I'll be downloading one or two images later today, but could other people please indicate which iso's you have an will be definitely bringing tomorrow? I've put a list on the wiki page here: http://wlug.org.nz/SaturdayWorkshop.2010-05-01 just list the iso on the wiki you want/have and then mark it (downloaded) or something so we know we don't have to grab it. And then please bring it. We will have blank discs to make more copies at the meeting. Cheers, John On Fri, Apr 30, 2010 at 9:42 AM, Bruce Kingsbury <zcat(a)zcat.geek.nz> wrote:

I will have Ubuntu Server 32bit and 64bit and Xubuntu desktop and alternate 32bit and 64bit. Anybody doing Kubuntu? Rod

I just upgraded my laptop to Kubuntu 9.10 to 10.4 and its worked fine, no issues. But I didn't use an .iso so can't provide an image sorry. Kubunutu has kept the window buttons on the right ;) Chris On 30 April 2010 12:30, Roderick Aldridge <rod-a(a)hnpl.net> wrote:
