Hi Team . Happy new year. Whenever I use the GUI screen to complete Mint Updates, I receive 404 messages relating to unable to find servers, links etc. I've managed a workaround by typing apt upgrade each time I need to install the updates. I'm currently using the 64 bit version of Gloria. I've tried refreshing the repositories etc, but there is obviously something else I need to do. Any ideas? Kind regards Wayne _________________________________________________________________ Want to be a Space Travel Agent? I'm just curious what happens when you open a terminal and do: cat /etc/apt/sources.list Can you paste the results? Wayne Grimsey wrote:

Hi Wayne, Does it always fail? Maybe the servers get a lot of hits after updates are put into the linux mint repos. Is it possible to compare what Mint Updates uses for its repositories and what apt-get uses? I would have assumed that they are the same. Is there any timeout options with Mint Updates that means it gives up before connecting to the servers. Just some thoughts. Follow up on John's suggestion and paste your sources list Cheers Chris 2010/1/12 Wayne Grimsey <wgrimsey(a)hotmail.com>:
