Feel free to bring your devices along and see if there is still time. Though we could also just schedule a demo of them for the next meeting?
the meeting after the next one would be better so i can get better prepared. What kind of questions should I be prepared to answer? Im a regular gnome3 user and im confident I can show off its features, but im not a regular unity user. Iv just been using unity recently on my new tablet. -- Kind Regards Rowan Schischka +64226719711

OK, then we'll just slate the devices for the September meeting.

Just demo the interface from a user point of view. Dealing with windows (eg resizing), multiple desktops, etc. Show any management tools that you might want to use of as a regular user (printing, multiple desktops, etc). Nothing too in-depth really. The meetings are fairly laid back and very interactive. Hi, I have a laptop with Ubuntu 16.04 Unity which I can bring along and demo. If there is time then it would be good to see Rowan's Ubuntu Unity M10 tablet in action. Rowan: If you do bring your tablet along then please also bring along your micro-hdmi to the standard (type A) hdmi cable. We should be able to plug the tablet into the video projector. Also your intel compute stick should be able to plug into the video projector. I used to have a laptop with six Debian8 partitions and it could boot: gnome3, kde, mate, lxde, cinnamon, xfce. Unfortunately I blew the partitions away a few months ago. I've still got the iso's and I can re-create some partitions again and re-install some. It looks like we have presenters with their laptops for KDE, Mate, Unity, Gnome3. So I'll re-install lxde, cinnamon and xfce on my laptop. Not that I know much about them, so if someone else wants to demo them, then they are welcome to use my laptop. cheers, Ian.
