Computer Skills Workshops Wednesdays 6-8pm Te Whara O Te Ata, 60a Sare Cres Bring your own laptop and learn basic computer and internet skills, word processing, spreadsheets, photo editing. Small classes (limit of five). Open to everyone, with a preference for teaching Linux and Free and Open Source applications. Internet access, Free software and Fair Trade Organic coffee are all available. No charge, but Koha to cover costs would be greatly appreciated.

Bother. I probably should have mentioned it's in the little unit out the back. Harry and I have been there from 6pm to a little after 8 tonight. I'll be there next week anyway, I might even be there tomorrow because there's a donated machine that I need to install Ubuntu on. The first of several I hope, then I can teach ordinary classes and people won't need to supply their own computer ;) Also I guess if anyone turns up in future and can't find me, my number is 8551826 (even if I'm out, leave a message and I'll get it on my laptop) or 021 2141196 (if I remember to take my cellphone with me, which I most often don't).
