I recently tried to compile and install the 2.6.5 kernel on a rh 9 system (dell i8500) .. it installed ok as a grub boot option but hangs trying to load the directory structure .. I have compiled and installed modules .. what else do I have to do to get the new kernel to boot? Thanks Stephen
