Just to make it interesting I now have the stream working in pretty well in firefox. A sad problem is that it is absolutely silent for some strange reason, not good for a radio stream. I use VLC to listen to streams like this. I tried the one you posted below and it works. I use the firefox plugin here to connect the stream to vlc:

mplayer would also work.
Interesting, neither mplayer nor vlc worked for me. Only Rhythmbox.

Does anyone know how to get VLC to show the video inside the interface like it used to, as opposed to having the interface separate? Jaunty seems to have separated them, even though the option to integrate is still selected in its Preferences. Also, has anyone upgraded to Jaunty yet? I'm debating attempting an upgrade now (and once again risk something not working again), or waiting a week or two to see if any bugs show up. Sandy

Your original link (http://www.thecoast.net.nz/Listenlive/) was working for me in Firefox from the start. There was no need for any external application.
