“The symptoms being experienced are not a failure of the TV, but are as a result of specification changes made by YouTube that exceed the capability of the TV’s hardware.” Youtube's API terms state they will give 6 months warning before rolling out changes that affect compatibility of older devices; but I can't find any announcement on the youtube developer site.
