Using Intel’s Xeon Phi Under Linux

Some researchers at the Czech Technical University in Prague have been using an Intel Xeon Phi co-processor with Gentoo Linux, and have written up their experiences as a guide for others <http://phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Intel-Xeon-Phi-Gentoo>.

Oh, that will be interesting to follow. I've been trying to get the Intel Phi running under Debian Linux. I see I had come to almost the same set of packages they had to get the host side set up and had ported them to Debian and built them in a clean Debian Jessie chroot. But I couldn't quite fully administer the Intel Phi from the host side, and I think the extra couple or so packages they list may just be what I need to proceed to package in Debian to get it working! Cheers Michael.
