What about NFS exports from Windoze machine? Particulary one that can map usernames on the Unix side (via a NIS server) to Windoze users on a Windoze domain controller and properly preserver permissions on both Unix and Windoze sides.

I've not used NFS from win32 - i considered using an NFS client under windows once, but definately not exporting from a windows box. So, unless I magically discover another day between sunday and monday, I cant help too much :/ The name mapping might be eaier to arrange, as there are plenty of equivalent services. Mainly aimed at mapping NTDOM names to unix names. Samba TNG has a winbind daemon which is supposed to do this, IIRC.
