Yet another demonstration <http://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/12/18/no_hack_needed_anonymisation_beaten_with_a_dash_of_sql/> of the seeming impossibility of publishing “anonymized” sets of personal data that cannot be traced back to specific individuals. The response of the Australian Government to a previous demonstration of such “de-anonymization” techniques was to seek laws to ban them.
