NZCS Innovators Series Lunch: Rod Drury (Hamilton) - 11 August 2008

The NZ Computer Society (NZCS) is proud to announce a new monthly series of events from August to December 2008 in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Hamilton, bringing some of the true "Innovators of ICT" to a city near you. Register at http://nzcs.org.nz/tools/events/event.asp?SECT=waikato_bop&ID=3131 First up on the 11th of August is the Society's newest Honorary Fellow (HFNZCS) and well known ICT entrepreneur Rod Drury, his presentation entitled: "Succeeding in NZ - What is Innovation, anyway?" Rod really needs no introduction. He exploded onto the ICT scene in New Zealand in 1995 when he founded Glazier Systems, which was subsequently bought by Advantage Group to become well-known ICT solutions company Intergen. He then created AfterMail, an Exchange product later sold to American company Quest Software for an 8-figure sum and judged the "Best Exchange Product" at TechEd 2006 in Boston. Not yet done, he then created well-known NZX-listed Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) accounting company Xero which is changing the way small businesses do accounting in New Zealand Free for NZCS members and inexpensive for non-members.
