WLUG meeting tomorrow

Hi there We have a meeting coming up tomorrow: "William McKee is demoing the Godot Game Engine, released under the MIT license. Similar to Unity3D in features, it provides tools to quickly create games under Linux, Mac OSX and Windows. Ian Young will give a quick run-down of the Manjaro distribution." http://www.meetup.com/WaikatoLinuxUsersGroup/events/165977142/ Cheers, Peter -- Peter Reutemann, Dept. of Computer Science, University of Waikato, NZ http://www.cms.waikato.ac.nz/~fracpete/ Ph. +64 (7) 858-5174

After the meeting, I shifted the godot executable into /usr/local/bin and
I posted this on the meetup website relating to the godot script found here. http://www.godotengine.org/wp/?page_id=51 then ran it using optirun godot . This turned on my laptop's Nvidia card to accelerate the graphics. The performance was even slicker then. I should have added that when run in home directory this script/command couldn't find the Nvidia X server and bombed. When the script was run inside /usr/local/bin it worked fine. It also puts the godot script in your system path.
