Nominations for officers of the committee

Hi All, Just a reminder request for nominations for next years committee. At present, I am the only person nominated for any role. I'm not sure that a committee of 1 is a very good idea. So have a think about it and get your names in for the officers and general positions on the committee to run the WLUG next year. A lot of people have said that they know where the WLUG should be headed and how it should be run. it's time to put your money down and step up! ahhhhh, yeah, I'll own up to being available for a committee role again. ("... and for my sins they gave me one") errrr, volunteering lessens the odds of being strongarmed into an officer position, right? -right-? butting

Thanks Bryce. Can you make sure to update the AGM wiki page to show your nomination and for which position/s you are standing? J

I'll stand for the general committee again. Don't know why last time we elected only 3 general committee members, when there were more willing. I took a look at the charter, and it doesn't seem to specify the number of general committee members we can have. I think including the officers a general committee of 5-6 would be fine, and help when planning things like software freedom day. Or create a sub-committee just for sfd maybe. *Rule 7* The officers of the society shall consist of a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. The committee of the society shall include the above named officers, as well as 3 (three) extra members. This was dropped from the 5 that were originally required due to difficulties in getting quorum with 9 committee members.
