One thing that’s new <https://www.theregister.com/2021/03/19/audacity_3/> is the file format is now an SQLite database. This integrates everything, including audio data, into a single file, unlike the older .aup file format. Also I hadn’t heard of the “Nyquist” sound-processing system before.
