
Just noticed this linked from nz.comp: http://www.groklaw.net/article.php?story=20050613130705170 "NZ asks questions about DRM". This is particularly relevant as DRM was raised at Monday's meeting as an issue that we would like NZ's government to be aware of.

Sounds like someone in the govt IT sector is clueful....
There is quite a bit of stuff on DRM on the government e-government website including a recommendation to avoid installing such software on government and local government servers. This recommendation is dated 2003 but recently a similar recommendation was sent out. http://www.e-government.govt.nz/news/2003110301.asp
