Why use the WikiWord for a Wiki page on the page itself?

Why are mny people using the WikiWord for a Wiki page on the page itself? For example the COBOL page has four [COBOL] links it it. I can't see the point. Is there a cunning reason for doing this that I've missed, or is it just habit? -- Glyn Webster ~ Simplicity Himself. ~ glyn(a)wave.co.nz ~ http://tiddly-pom.com

I often get into the habit of putting them in, in particular if you're talking about a page like "FooBar" saying "FooBar" (it's one concept!) instead of "Foo Bar", and using [] is just an extension of this :) - -- My idea of roughing it turning the air conditioner too low. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Only when you are sure they have you, can you stop being paranoid iD8DBQE/YZNocAgRpy8z8UQRAsGPAJ9zWiGTlYkJ1sgYM/hFIk3ZXJSYPgCgs0VW DsWPvhnCZ/dVquJRrA+bblo= =tETn -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
