For software freedom day we got Mystique costumes to make us a tux penguin suit. Lots of people thought it was very cool and I think we should use it at lots more events but at the moment we have to book it in advance and pay $15 to hire it. I think WLUG should buy it so we can use it any time and we should use it a lot more. We asked and Mystique will sell it to us for $150 which is only the same as hiring it ten times. What does everyone else think?

Will they give us a special if we order 2 costumes? I think Perry might like a bear suit. But just for the penguin suit, I don't see $15 per time as being a problem considering we would only use it a couple of times a year. If we keep hiring it every time then we don't need to worry about storage and repairs etc. And as for booking it in advance, I'm not sure we have that much competition for hiring it :) John

For health reasons these suits need to be cleaned in between uses. This in it's self can be quite expensive. Cherio, Karin -- ? Tried it, loved it, So now it's my life. Our suit is smaller and floppier than a standard foam person-sized Tux: http://softwarefreedomday.org/gallery/2006/gallery/2006/oceania/nz/hamilton? action=AttachFile&do=get&target=tux.jpg +1 to John's suggestions; especially as it's only Cairo-sized, and will only be used very irregularly, I don't think there's any value in WLUG owning it.
