On the TVNZ news a few minutes ago, in the stock footage they were showing while John Campbell was talking about some tech-related story or other, I saw the words “struct group_info init_groups” pop up. So I did an online search, and found this Reddit thread <https://www.reddit.com/r/InternetIsBeautiful/comments/g8hcgo/this_site_makes_you_feel_like_youre_a_hacker_you/>. Turns out there’s a website where you can pretend to be typing furiously, and this text comes up, as though it was what you were typing, to let you play at being a hacker on TV. Incidentally, the code in question is based on real code, from the Linux kernel.
