Hi everyone There is a WLUG meeting tonight: Elroy Liddington: Raspberry Pi, Asterisk Chris O'Halloran: LaTeX http://www.wlug.org.nz/event_calendar/view/741/meeting Cheers, Peter -- Peter Reutemann, Dept. of Computer Science, University of Waikato, NZ http://www.cms.waikato.ac.nz/~fracpete/ Ph. +64 (7) 858-5174

Apologies for keeping such a low profile for the last many months. And I can't make it to the meeting tonight. I should be there - I use latex on a regular basis for document and letter preparation; have done for a good number of years. I have been struggling with my Asterisk setup, to the extent I have not got anything usable yet. I am still happy to come and make a partial presentation on what I have, and do a full presentation in the future when I have it all connected together. Noooooooooooooooooooo. Sorry guys, just realised the date on this message. My sincerest apologies to all. Hopefully I can make it up to everyone next meeting, if I am allowed to show my face... Sincerest Apologies, Elroy Liddington. Peter Reutemann wrote:

Don't worry. You weren't the only one struggling with this date. :-) I'll put you down for the next meeting. Which might be next year. My belated apologies for the meeting. With my current state of health I've got to be careful that I don't try and do too much. Upgraded my laptop to Ubuntu 13.10 (64-bit) yesterday. All went smoothly and as yet I haven't noticed any changes. Michael

There is also a Saturday Linux Workshop at Te Whare O Te Ata for anyone who wants to turn up. Saturday 26th, 10am - 3pm 60a Sare Cres. On 22 October 2013 08:10, Michael McDonald <mikencolleen(a)gmail.com> wrote:

I've put you down for the next meeting, November 25th: http://www.wlug.org.nz/event_calendar/view/743/meeting And yes, we'd love to see your face! :-) Cheers, Peter -- Peter Reutemann, Dept. of Computer Science, University of Waikato, NZ http://www.cms.waikato.ac.nz/~fracpete/ Ph. +64 (7) 858-5174

Asterisk Update: I now have something to show (on 25th Nov): 1x RaspberryPi running Raspbian/Asterisk/FreePBX 2x Cisco VoIP phones that talk to each other most of the time (don't ask :-) ); 1x ATA that kinda talks to the Asterisk box, haven't figured out how to get it to talk to anything else yet; 1x USB 3G Vodem - Asterisk detects an incoming voice call, and correct cellular (CallerID) number, but nothing else yet; 1x thin outline of an OpenOffice.org Impress presentation. Hopefully I can massage the above into something a bit more usable between now and the next meeting :-) Elroy. Peter Reutemann wrote:
