Hi, Probably this isn't the best place to ask this but since it's low traffic and I'm not subbed to any of the kde lists.... In the kate editor in kde 3.1.4 there is a block comment feature and the keyboard shortcuts are comment = Ctrl+# and uncomment = Ctrl+Shift+# . I can't get these to work because in order to get Ctrl+# you actually need to do Ctrl+Shift+3. They work fine if you use the menu. I wanted to change the shortcut key but I couldn't find anyplace that allows this particular one to be changed. Does anyone know how to make this shortcut work? Cheers g -- Glenn Ramsey <glenn(a)componic.co.nz> 07 8627077 http://www.componic.co.nz

doh, found how to configure the kdb shortcuts - there is a "configure shortcuts" menu option right above the "configure toolbars" and "configure kate" options. I can't believe I missed that - been using it for about a week. I'd still like to know what the ctrl+# thing is all about. Is this combination possible on US keyboards? g -- Glenn Ramsey <glenn(a)componic.co.nz> 07 8627077 http://www.componic.co.nz

German keyboards do not require SHIFT to get #. Andreas On Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at 09:03 AM, Glenn Ramsey wrote:
