Hello all, Just wondering whether anybody has to hand a going PC with IDE and SATA I could borrow for a relative's use for a week or so? He is computer savvy and equipped with live CDs for the mission which involves checking and blanking sundry hard drives. Alas, I appear to have gone into a kind of computer Bermuda Triangle where machines that were working when last run mysteriously pass away, and the couple I had meeting requirements appear to have become scrap metal. Anybody? Or perhaps alternatively a working motherboard w/cpu no longer required. ~ Ian Y

Would a 700MHz PC be of any use? Runs puppy linux. Currently sitting in corner, no HDD I think, will need to check if you're interested. PATA only. Cheers, Elroy. P.S: Actually, my kids PC (dead HDD so no kiddie games) is a 2.6GHz Duron?/2.5GB RAM box. Is there going to be a lot of HDD connector swaps? Don't think it has any IDE ports, only SATA. P.P.S: Come to think of it, I think I might have put a PCI to IDE card in it. Will check tomorrow nite. Ian Young wrote:
