Hi guys,
When I was just a newbie (still am) I got Redhat linux unleashed [kit] / Kamran Husain, Timothy Parker. 1996, from the library here in Hamilton. It's a big book with a cd. It was fine and dandy until I took it back and the lady noticed that the cd was cracked... I don't know how, but it is. So I was wondering if any one has a copy of the cd or knows where to get one cheap as they want me to pay $100 for a new set.
It's just RedHat Linux - probably version 4 given the date. Anyone have a copy?
Alternately, I could write someone there a quick email using my (gotta be good for *something*) RHCE credentials to sound knowledgeable and advise them just how out of date and useless that CD (and book by now) really are.
Library's are also about having historic information too ya know :) So we can go back in 10 years time and say "Hey look! A REALLY old version of redhat! Lets see if it has any code in it from SCO!"

I just googled for 'Redhat Unleashed', and found this: http://www.cs.sun.ac.za/~akruger/red_hat_linux/rhl02.htm <snippet> The Red Hat Software Inc. Release This is a release of Linux from Red Hat Software Inc. The latest version is 3.0.3, which is included on the CD-ROM at the back of this book. Hmm. RH 3.0.3. I'd suggest you point out to the librarian that RH 3.0.3 is many many years old, and ask if a copy of RH 4 would do as a replacement. And while you're there, ask if you could throw in a copy of RH 9 as well. I'm pretty sure least one lug member has a copy of RH 4 on CD for historic reasons, which we can copy for you, and there's plenty of people with RH 9 round as well ;)
