WLUG End of year BBQ / Get together Saturday 28th Nov

Sorry for the short notice, but I didn't realise I hadn't put this on the Wiki already; The WLUG annual BBQ and get together will be on Saturday at Te Whanau Putahi (at the end of Oxford St), along with the regular Saturday Workshop. workshop is 10am-4pm, BBQ will be somewhere around 12-1pm. This will be the last meeting for the year, and a good time to renew your membership for next year! Hope to see you there.. Bruce

Oh bugger, I thought it was on the next weekend after this. Sorry we wont be able to come, we are way in Taupo this weekend. Liz 2009/11/24 Bruce Kingsbury <zcat(a)zcat.geek.nz>

I moved it forward because I was worried that people would start going away for holidays in December. perhaps that may have been an error of judgement. But I think I would only compound the error by trying to move it back again...

WLUG is an acronym [1], and as such should be rendered in capital letters. Love, The Proletariat [1] It probably lies somewhere between an acronym and an initialism, as it is generally pronounced "double-ewe-lug". See http://www.wlug.org.nz/Acronym.

as it is generally pronounced "double-ewe-lug".
So WLUG is two female sheep with flattened protuberances? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lug_%28knob%29 - JT :)

Yes, Mark Jones has offered the use of his.. I'll get Sue to buy some BBQ food on Friday night. WLUG can afford salads, sausages, tomato sauce, bread, softdrinks etc for all..but if anyone wants steak or beer they have to bring their own. Sounds like it'll be a good one anyhow.

I have a DACCD (Dead Animal to Charcoal Conversion Device) that I can bring if an extra is needed. Cheers -- Graham Lauder, OpenOffice.org MarCon (Marketing Contact) NZ http://marketing.openoffice.org/contacts.html INGOTs Moderator New Zealand www.theingots.org.nz

Not expecting a huge turnout so I think one will be sufficient for our dead-animal charring requirements. Speaking of turnout, who's coming? If I can get an approximate count then I'll know how much food we need to buy (although there's a supermarket at the end of the road so we can always buy a bit more on the day) 2009/11/25 Graham Lauder <yorick_(a)openoffice.org>:

I will poke my head in - but I'm helping a friend move house so I don't know when. I won't be there for the BBQ but I'll be there at some point :)

I'll bring a big bowl of salsa and chips! Bruce Kingsbury wrote:
