
Today at the fixit meeting, someone (iirc it was Rod) had a sata to usb adapter without a enclousure just wondering if you could tell me where you got it as it would be awesome to add to my collection of useful computer tools but cant seem to find one online

That's kinda nifty if you want a desk thing... I have one similar to this http://www.edencomputers.co.nz/p.aspx?450752 which I haul out as needed...comes with separate power supply thingy

Thanks guys, those are exactly what I was talking about (the one there was more like the second). Kinda wish I didnt see the first as now I want both. (One for desk, and the other for bag), Im very tempted for something like the cable based one as theres been many a circumstance it would have been handy.

Based on the desrcption im pretty sure thats the thing, of course if I go to pbtech they will know what I mean, might try to get them to throw it in with a laptop (considering buying a new one atm). John was it PBTech you said you got your new lenovo from?
