RE: [wlug] DSE store this weekend

But then again, just think of all that extra hardware you can sell. More memory... A DVD writer instead of a CD writer... Hey, instead of Office Pro 2003 Open Bus (XS 9011), why not buy a second computer ?

Sorry Chris
Its official, You wont be making much money on sales of Office XP this weekend :-)

Yep My wifes laptop will be getting a memory upgrade this weekend :-) Actually I always wanted on of the transmeta's (XC3394) but I could not understand why you cant buy it with the 4 hour battery bundled rather than the 2 hour battery, at the moment you need to buy the laptop and then buy the 8 cell battery (XC3395) as well, Fine if you want 2 batteries I Guess. Personally I like the idea of a laptop that doesn't burn my lap and lasts for a long time as a feature that would sell, with only 2 hours battery life it too easy to get the aspire with the scanner/printer, but if you could get the longer battery life then it would have an edge above the others in its class, to get 5 hours your into the 3 grand range of lappys, instead of sub 2000. I just never understood why the lappy didn't have the 8 cell from day one and sell it as an affordable long life laptop, it would then be in a class of it own. sorry, I guess the marketing side of me is taking over again. ...... But I still want one. esp as the wi-fi kit (XC397) is an orinocco driven card so it will work out of the box with most Linux's .. even Knoppix. Even stranger, I just realized the powerhouse website isn't even promoting its own events..... Given that they are paying for Radio and Newspaper space, strange that they are not doing some self promotion on their own website. Oh well. Lindsay Druett wrote:
