3) WLUG Library.
We've noticed that DunLUG have a very extensive members-only library. This is a Good Idea (TM). Its probably not doable out of members subscriptions alone, so we need some form of sponsorship. This is perhaps the biggest incentive for people to pay their subs, so its a good one to chase up
I'm on the committee of the ACM student chapter at Waikato and we've had a great deal of success in getting things for our library (especially software development kits from people like Apple and microsoft) by just by asking companies. If you're looking for technical type books, use the something like Barnes & Noble / Amazons Associates to raise money?
