Please can anyone help me - I have a canon 250i printer. I believe that you can get it to run with Redhat and Fedora - there are a whole span of drivers on the Canon site - as a relatively unskilled Linux user, I just cannot get the printer working using Ubuntu (which I love by the way). Does anyone know how to get the damn thing to work with Ubuntu? Cheers John

Can u find on Canon web site linux drivers? If so there might be even explanation how to install it. Look for Ubuntu version or possibly Debian. John Torrance wrote:

What about the printer are you having trouble with? I have Ubuntu (Dapper Drake beta) and i have a CUPS driver for the "Canon BJC 250" printer from the cupsys-driver-gutenprint package. Do you have that installed?
