Apple Rejects Net-Neutrality-Testing App

A researcher who has published papers on “traffic differentiation” by ISPs tried to submit an app to perform tests to detect this happening on behalf of Iphone users, only to have Apple turn it down on the grounds that it “has no direct benefits to the user”. That is, until word got around about the rejection.
