My lovely System76 unit still performs fine, thank you. But still, it gratifies me to see all these new Linux-based products coming out. Particularly when they can hit price/performance points that Windows cannot match. Are we seeing a rebirth of something like the original Linux netbook idea? That highlighted the bloat of Windows Vista in such an embarrassing way, yet Microsoft was able to fight back by postponing the demise of Windows XP, and strangle the Linux competition pretty much in the cradle. Nowadays, they don’t have such an option.
