I'd be interested to know what journalling file systems people are using on large drives and how reliable they've been.
reiserfs, very reliable, fast, very easy. Out of the box with quota support, in 3 weeks with acl support out of the box (likewise for xfs, jfs, and ext3). Can put on root fs with zero trouble (been able to do that for years). Also out of the box are xfs, jfs, and ext3. From reading a very few things about journalling filesystems recently I get the impression that ext3 has too many limitations and isn't as well tested as the others.
