Job position: Research Programmer/System Administrator

Hi, I'm leaving my current position at the University of Auckland on the 9th of August, if anyone is interested, here is the job-description: http://www.vacancies.auckland.ac.nz/positiondetail.asp?p=5350 and the closing date is 11 August. Please circulate this to anyone who may be interested. It might not be clear from the job-description, but most of the work is Linux and Mac OS X based (command line only, heh :), the amount of Windows administration is almost non-existent. Thanks, Marcel -- Marcel van de Steeg, Research Programmer Bioinformatics Institute Room 110-281, Level 2, Thomas Building The University of Auckland, New Zealand Ph 09 373 7599 Ext 83777 Fax 09 367 7136 -- http://www.bioinformatics.org.nz http://www.biomirror.org.nz -- "Take your protein pills and put your helmet on..."

Is there anybody who has a proven track record building Ruby based web apps? I'm working on a Ruby on Rails front-end for a multi platform server application. Really, my experience with Ruby as well as Rails is quite limited and I'm in dire need to have someone on board who is skilled with building such applications. I will consider any arrangement as long as it helps me achive the set goal. If your interested contact me via e-mail please. Thanks Pete
