Currently when I switch to FreeView Channel 200, it shows a frozen image with the text “Cinegy” and “Demo Version” on it. Searching for that name takes me to a site that talks about “software defined television”. Either their product licence has expired, or they never had one in the first place ...

Scanning (with my own software) Freeview broadcast from Te Aroha I find for logical channel number (LCN) 200: $ dvbt-scan -c 2 594M 8M auto auto auto DVB Card 2: Silicon Labs Si2168 with caps 0x941bfeaf Tuning to 594000000Hz: Signal Carrier Sync LOCK Receiving transport stream with ID=33: Available and visible programmes: Programme 1400: LCN 200 [Kordia] CH200 [AC-HD-digital-tv-service] EIT-schedule EIT-present-follow PMT pid: 200 PCR pid: 550 Video PID: 550 Audio PID: 600 Other PID: 8000 1004 [snipped all the other channel info] I see that it is recorded in the config file of my dvbt recording software of which I haven't updated the config (at least not that part) for quite some time, so yeah, looks like the channel has existed for a while, but is only transmitting a static image as you claim. Interestingly it claims to have EPG (the EIT tags). Running my epg software only lists the following: Programme 12 [1400] CH200 Sun, 15 Oct, 6:00pm (360 mins) JUICE TV Mon, 16 Oct, 12:00am (720 mins) JUICE TV Mon, 16 Oct, 12:00pm (240 mins) JUICE TV Mon, 16 Oct, 4:00pm (60 mins) JUICE TV Mon, 16 Oct, 5:00pm (180 mins) JUICE TV etc. It's just JUICE TV all the way through until: Fri, 20 Oct, 7:30pm (30 mins) JUICE TV - The Plug Fri, 20 Oct, 8:00pm (120 mins) JUICE TV - Friday Night Rock Maybe something will happen Friday night on the channel! Cheers, Michael.

It calls itself a “pop-up channel”, that you can hire for various purposes <https://ch200.co.nz/>. I have seen random things like horse auctions and religious meetings. Also during lockdown it would carry the full daily press conferences, which I found quite useful. Most of the time it transmits Juice TV. Which, since the dedicated music channels 1) moved online, then 2) shut down altogether, has become my main source for discovering what’s new in the music world ;).

That logo has popped up again, but this time music videos continue to play underneath it.
